Emmerdale hit with Ofcom complaints after gruesome Meena murder

Emmerdale has been hit with complaints over gruesome scenes which saw Meena Jutla murder Ben Tucker.

TV watchdog Ofcom received a total of 74 complaints in relation to the ITV soap’s hour-long offering, which aired on Thursday September 25.

The episode in question saw serial killer Meena go to extreme lengths to get her hands on camera footage, which could prove she attempted to murder Victoria Barton.

Ben found himself on the murderer’s radar, after he came into possession of said footage following a search the offices up at HOP.

Afterwards, he made a run for it with the camera, but Meena gave chase. However, she slipped on some spilled alcohol, and seemingly hit her head.

Ben headed out to the car, where he left the camera, but he later returned to the HOP to check on Meena, only to discover she had disappeared.

Confused, he set out to find her, and his search took him back to the car, where he realised the camera had vanished.

Meena then attacked him with an oar, leaving him motionless on the floor.

In twisted scenes, she re-watched her attempt to murder Victoria while sitting beside Ben, who desperately called out for help to no avail.

She subsequently made the decision to silence him forever, picking up the oar and beating him to death.
