Emmerdale exit for Marshall as teenager found unconscious

Emmerdale: Marshall walks away after almost kissing Arthur

When Emmerdale’s Laurel Thomas (played by Charlotte Bellamy) found out Marshall (Max Fletcher) was being abused by his homophobic father, she instantly took action.

She invited Marshall to go and live with them so he could escape his father.

Things seemed to be getting back on track for the teenager, however, in upcoming scenes, Marshall is hiding a dark secret.

In official spoilers released by ITV, Marshall goes off the rails with Cathy Hope (Gabrielle Dowling), who is also suffering with her health.

After seeing Cathy with some stolen bottles of vodka, he seizes the opportunity to drown his sorrows.

The troubled teens head off, intent on numbing their pain, and at the Cricket Pavilion, Cathy and Marshall share their troubles.

The pair are both on the road to self-destruction as they take alternative swigs from the vodka bottle.

As the effects of the vodka take hold, Cathy goes green in the face but Marshall has no intention of stopping.

Meanwhile, Cathy’s dad Bob (Tony Audenshaw), Laurel and Brenda (Lesley Dunlop) are worried and end up looking for the kids.

When they find them at the pavilion, the teenagers are both in a state and Cathy ends up vomiting.

As Marshall hands over the vodka, Laurel hopes she has gotten through to him.

However, later on, Arthur Thomas (Alfie Clarke) feels rejected when Marshall heads to bed, locking himself in his room.

Little do they know that, in his bedroom, Marshall pulls out the second bottle of vodka – and he continues his rampage.

Unscrewing the lid, he takes another swig, determined to keep numbing his pain.

The next day, Laurel lets out a guttural scream as she finds Marshall unconscious with vomit around his mouth in his bedroom.

She instantly calls emergency services and an ambulance promptly arrives.

However, is it too late for Marshall? Could the teenager have gone a step too far and what secret is he hiding?

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
