Emmerdale and Coronation Street air hour-long specials against EastEnders and Bake Off

Emmerdale and Coronation Street are airing hour-long specials on Tuesday night, which will clash with EastEnders and The Great British Bake Off.

In a TV schedule shake-up, Emmerdale will now air on 9 November from 7pm until 8pm.

While Coronation Street will be delivering drama from the cobbles from 8pm until 9pm on Tuesday night.

EastEnders will still be airing at its usual time of 7:30pm until 8pm.

While GBBO will be airing on Channel 4 from 8pm until 9:15pm.

The TV schedule is due to Live International Football airing on Friday 12 November, where England will play Albania, it starts at 7pm with kick off at 7:45pm.

Soap fans have already taken to Twitter to discuss the TV schedule clash as they questioned which shows they would be prioritising on Tuesday night.

One person said: We've got all the soaps clashing tonight. What is everyone watching first? #Emmerdale #EastEnders #Corrie

A different account put: "Wo wo wo, what do they mean @itvcorrie is back tomorrow at 8, #GBBO is on then? Don't go messing with my Tuesday nights @ITV , I've no room for #Corrie on a Tuesday especially as its #OurYorkshireFarm night as well #bakeoff."

Tuesday's episode of Bake Off will see another contestant leave the tent after George sadly became the latest baker to be eliminated last week.

During the latest instalment, the bakers were challenged during caramel week where they had to produce several tricky creations, which included caramel tarts, caramel biscuit bars and a showstopper masterpiece.

After failing to impress Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood, George became the latest contestant to leave the tent.

Speaking after his fate was revealed, he said: "There is bittersweet to it. Speaking to my family, they're just so proud that I've managed to even get in the tent."

While he sweetly added in an open letter, which was shared to the official GBBO Twitter, that he was "so grateful" to have been part of the show.

He penned: "As sad as I am to be leaving the tent of dreams, I have made some memories that will be in my heart forever.

"I'm so grateful to have been part of something so special and also be lucky enough to leave this experience with life long friends.

"Thank you to everyone who has supported me on my journey and a special thanks to my wife and kids who had to cope with weeks of frantic baking, meltdowns and a very messy kitchen!

"Thanks again everyone… lots of love, George x."
