EastEnders has appeared to drop a huge hint about another legend returning to Albert Square in this week's BBC iPlayer streaming episodes, which are yet to air on TV.
In the scenes, Kat Slater is planning her wedding to Phil Mitchell and she contemplates whether to send her estranged daughter, Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan), an invite.
Soap watchers will recall that Zoe was last seen in Albert Square 17 years ago and she left Walford in 2005 to move to Ibiza.
However, Kat ultimately decides not to send the invite but after Lily sees how upset she is, she decides to find Zoe on social media and sends her a message, explaining what's going on.
And Kat is understandably unimpressed when she learns what Lily has done.
Things then take another surprise when Lily reveals that Zoe is in London and that she has arranged a reunion at Peggy's for that night.
Conflicted on what to do, Kat decides to head to Peggy's where Zoe sadly doesn't show up.
However, Kat remains positive as she declares: "When Zoe’s ready to build a bridge, I’ll be on the other side waiting, the same as my sisters. But I’ve got enough love around me in the meantime."
It remains to be seen whether Zoe will make an explosive return to the BBC One soap after 17 years and it comes amid lots of exciting news for EastEnders.
Only recently, it was announced that Shane Richie is set to reprise his role as Alfie Moon in for the first time in more than three years this Autumn.
When soap fans last saw his character Alfie, he had decided to flee Walford back in January 2019, making an enemy of Phil (Steve McFadden) in the process.
In upcoming scenes due to air later this year, the character will return to Albert Square, prompting friction with the residents, including his ex-wife, Kat (Jessie Wallace).
The couple’s fiery relationship was at the centre of many major storylines during Shane’s tenure on the show, but their union came to a sudden end in 2018 when it emerged that Alfie had secretly fathered a son with her cousin Hayley.

Following the shocking revelations, the two parted ways, with Alfie and Kat officially calling time on their relationship as their divorce was finalised.
Ahead of his return, show bosses are encouraging viewers to watch for clues about how it may come about in the coming days.
