EastEnders Heather Peace teases Eves role in Christmas flashforward twist

EastEnders star Heather Peace has teased her character Eve Unwin's role in the Christmas flashforward episode.

Earlier this year, in a BBC One soap first, fans were shown a 2023 flashforward scene of six of Walford’s much loved matriarchs, Denise (Diane Parish), Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Linda (Kellie Bright), Sharon ( Letitia Dean ), Stacey ( Lacey Turner ) and Suki (Balvinder Sopal) faced with a dead body

In the moments that unfolded at the Queen Vic, the group of women all stood round in shock in a festive-looking pub and looked down at a man lying on the floor.

Not much was said between the six of them, but Stacey was covered in blood, Denise was holding a smashed bottle of Champagne and Sharon wore a bloodied wedding dress as she leant over the body, confirming the person was dead.

However, it’s unclear whose body it is and what’s happened to them…

Teasing the upcoming storyline, Eve star Heather, who isn't one of the six in the teaser, hopes she will be involved thanks to her character's links with Stacey and Suki.

She told press recently: "I don't think it'll be me [who dies], obviously. I've never thought that for one second.

"But I am involved in both Stacey's storyline and Suki's storylines. I would like to be involved in some way, but I've got absolutely no idea at the moment."

It comes as fans were convinced they had rumbled the identity of the Christmas killer and victim after Nish Panesar attacked his wife Suki last week.

The attack has convinced many fans that Suki and those that love her will soon be seeking vengeance for the violent outburst and may even be the ones to murder Nish in upcoming scenes.

Taking to social media to share their thoughts, one fan wrote: "Please let Nish be the one on the floor at Christmas and let it be Vinny who ends him."

A second fan was also convinced Nish would be the one to die at Christmas after his menacing ways continued to wreak havoc in the Square, as they added: "Nish will kill Eve then Suki will kill him in the Vic at Christmas."

A third fan also agreed Nish would be the victim as they wrote: "Come on it’s got to be Nish dead at Christmas."

A fourth viewer also weighed in on the situation as they added: "Suki has to be the one to kill Nish. She needs to reclaim her life after years of abuse."

EastEnders continues Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
