EastEnders fans concerned for Stacey as they work out Theo’s identity

Eastenders: Freddie confronts his former teacher

Following the introduction of Theo Hawthorne (played by William Ellis) as the former teacher of Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) fans of BBC’s EastEnders have become concerned for Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).

BBC viewers have theorised Theo is the mystery customer asking for pictures of Stacey’s face on saucy website Secret Cam.

Twitter user @BovaryCee wrote: “I’m going to say it again. I think Theo was the one paying for Stacey’s pictures.

“I think he’s getting closer to Freddie & Lily to get closer to Stacey. #EastEnders”

@rambibambi_ agreed commenting: “Can we talk about how creepy theo is?

“He’s definitely the OnlyFans subscriber that Stacey is having private chats with #EastEnders.” (sic)

Also subscribing to this theory was Twitter user @DavidMackayy who commented: “Theo is defo the person on Stacey’s onlyfans and the only reason he’s buying the present is cos he knows Stacey is desperate for cash #eastenders.” (sic)

@RyanTheSoapking also questioned his motives writing: “Theo is such a creep. What are his intentions with the Slaters? (sic)

“Does he want their money or is it something more sinister? I think Stacey is being played by Theo on the secret cam. #EastEnders.”

However, one viewer had an even darker theory that would have huge repercussions for the family if it is the case.

“Theo why did you purchase those trainers for Lily?!!!! Is he trying to groom her or something cause Stacey specifically said no to them #eastenders,” @SistahSkinglo questioned.

Theo was introduced earlier this year when Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) encouraged Freddie to confront him about making his life a misery at school.

A contrite Mr Hawthorne apologised and told Freddie that he believed he had ADHD.

After struggling with the idea, Freddie ultimately got tested and was diagnosed with the condition.

While his help in attaining a diagnosis has been welcomed by Freddie, the educator has also shown a darker side.

This week he went behind Stacey’s back and bought her young pregnant daughter Lily (Lilia Turner) some trainers that she had coveted.

This was despite the fact that Stacey had already told the youngster she couldn’t have them due to the sorry state of the family finances.

EastEnders is on BBC One at 7.30pm Monday to Thursday.
