EastEnders viewers are pleading with ITV bosses to bring a hilarious vicar on as a full-time character.

Viewers were ready to watch Kathy and Rocky plan their nuptials despite Rocky’s big secret that he was still married to someone else.

But as the storyline developed, fans were distracted by the presence of a hilarious vicar, dubbing her a “legend.”

Now fans are begging for the actress to be brought in as a permanent character.

““I find it hard to believe that a charming man like you hasn’t been married before” If only this vicar knew….if only she knew. Please can this Vicar become a regular!!,” said one viewer.

“Comedy vicar alert…,” said a second.

A third added: “This vicar is legendary. LEGENDARY I tell thee…,” as a fourth penned: “I love this vicar, can she become a regular please? #eastenders ”

Sonia was disgusted when she learned about Rocky's secret and gave him an ultimatum – tell Kathy by the end of the day or she would.

Rocky headed home to meet with Kathy and the Vicar, where he continued to lie about his past.

Sonia shared her disdain for Rocky with Reiss, who managed to convince her to take a more sympathetic view.

Panicked that she may have ruined everything, she rushed over to No.45 and told Rocky not to tell Kathy.

Elsewhere, Keanu was in hot pursuit of a shocked and angry Sharon, once again declaring his love for her.

However, their reunion was far from smooth-sailing as Sharon realised that Keanu had used the same engagement ring he proposed to Louise with.

Later, Kat arrived to check on Sharon and encouraged her to listen to her heart.

A frank conversation with Sam convinced Sharon to re-think, and she invited Keanu over to decline his marriage proposal. The pair agreed to start afresh.

Meanwhile, Lola's hopes were shattered following her appointment, and she broke down.

Jay tried to console her, but Lola insisted on ploughing on with the fundraiser.

Later, Lola asked Sam if she could hire Peggy's for the event, but Sam declined.

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 7.30pm
