Lisa Fowler (Lucy Benjamin) is set to make a dramatic return to EastEnders in the coming weeks, with fans having been given confirmation of her exact return date.

July 10 will see Lisa return to Albert Square after three years living in Portugal with daughter Louise and granddaughter Peggy.

As Lisa and Peggy arrive back in Walford, Keanu is stunned to see them, but his thrilled when he is later given the opportunity to bond with his daughter.

However, it isn’t long before suspicions are raised over Lisa’s caginess surrounding Louise, leading Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) to quiz her about what’s really going on.

When Lisa’s return was first announced, actress Lucy Benjamin revealed that she ‘can’t wait’ to make her return to the Square.

‘No doubt, in true Lisa fashion, she will bring with her plenty of drama for many of the characters on the Square, which is why playing her is such a delight.’

According to executive producer Chris Clenshaw, Lisa may be set to throw several lives into chaos, particularly those of Keanu and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).

‘I’m delighted to welcome Lucy back to the iconic role of Lisa Fowler’ he said when her return was announced.

‘We last saw Lisa three years ago when she and daughter Louise fled Walford following the Christmas reveal of Sharon and Keanu’s affair.

‘We couldn’t be more thrilled to have her back for a short while as she and granddaughter Peggy cause trouble between the happy couple.’

Lisa’s return comes just weeks after several other high profile names made a shock return to our screens, in a special episode set in France.

Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) was revealed to be alive, and the special episode gave us an insight into what life has been like for her 25 years after she supposedly died off screen.

She was joined by ex-husband Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and son Peter (Thomas Law), with Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) making a one off appearance too.

It is as yet unknown exactly why Lisa has returned to Albert Square, but we’re certain that there will be no shortage of drama ahead.
