Coronation Street star Ellie Leach has teased the future of her character Faye Windass after she confessed to attacking Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson)
The 19-year-old actress appeared on ITV talk show Lorraine on Tuesday to discuss her latest dramatic storyline.
Corrie viewers witnessed Faye tell boyfriend Craig Tinker that her evil boss Ray Crosby (Mark Frost) almost sexually assaulted her in recent scenes.
She went on to explain that she thought she whacking Ray over the head in the Bistro, not Adam.
Faye then handed herself into the police and admitted to hitting Adam, thinking it was Ray.
Speaking to Lorraine Kelly about Faye's future, Ellie explained: "No I'm not going anywhere for the time being – or hopefully ever.
"I'm so lucky to have had the storylines I've had."
The young star went on to reveal that she doesn't know if she would befriend her alter-ego in real life.
Ellie said: "I don't know – she's very troubled but everything she does she means well."
Lorraine went on to point out that Ellie has been a part of the Corrie family for 10 years.
Ellie first appeared on the serial drama as Faye Windass back in 2001.
Speaking about life behind the scenes as Coronation Street, she said: "I know everyone says it but we are like a big family.
"If you need advice you can always there is always someone to talk to."
"I can't believe it's been 10 years."
Recalling the attack Faye told officers: "He had me backed up against the desk. He was undoing his trousers trying to force me to …
"I told him that I didn't want to but he had his hands all over me.
"I managed to push him away and unlocked the door and that's when I ran out and saw Gary."
In the final scene of Monday's episode, DS Keith Willets (James Quinn) arrived at the Bistro to arrest Ray on an attempted rape suspicion.
Watching him being bundled away in a police car Faye's dad Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) yelled over to him: "It's good job they got to you before I did."
Will Faye manage to get justice and bring down the Weatherfield villain?
