And in particular it seems like subtle differences in characters' appearances have distracted some Corrie viewers from the actual on-screen action.
The latest to be caught up in the continuity error was garage owner Kevin, played by Michael Le Vell, who seemed to have picked up a healthy glow in Weatherfield.
While many were left heartwarmed by Kevin asking Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) to move in with him, others were distracted by his new bronzed appearance mid-episode.
Taking to Twitter, one fan posted: "Continuity on Corrie again. Kevin. Tan/no tan, trimmed hair/longer hair. What is that?"
"Has Kevin got a tan?" another shared. "Kev's got a good old tan him".
While an eagle-eyed viewer noticed his new look earlier this week and penned: "Catching up on #Corrie and loving the lockdown continuity.
"Kevin's got a tan and a new beard and in the next scene it's all gone!"
Certain scenes have been filmed post-lockdown, meaning the cast have undergone subtle transformations, from new facial hair to sun-kissed skin.
It's not just Kevin who has been the subject of continuity blunders but a plethora of the soap's characters – and the subtle transformations have become a sport to some viewers.
"My new favourite hobby is trying to spot the post lockdown scenes in Corrie," joked on fan.
A second admitted: "Not rly sure what scenes are pre or post lockdown #Corrie".
A third added: "Am I the only one who watched #Corrie trying to work out the scenes that have been filmed before and after lockdown.. 😂"
Commenting on Imran Habeeb's changing hairstyle, a regular viewer said: "I love how in all of the before lockdown scenes Imran has longer hair and in the newer ones it is shorter rather than the other way round because Charlie shaved all his hair off during lockdown."
While for others it was the changing scenes between Nick Tilsley and Leanne Battersby, which saw Nick's beard growing back mid-episode too.
Earlier this month, Corrie fans were left in hysterics when Simon Barlow's hair appeared to grow during an ad break.
Production on the Cobbles resumed last month as lockdown restrictions began to ease with cast and crew quickly finishing episodes that were half-filmed before the set was shutdown.
Stars first returned to work for filming having previously attended a safety induction that highlighted the new measures that have been put in place to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
