Ant and Dec sign mega deal with ITV as Geordie duo celebrate 25th anniversary

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have reportedly signed a massive three-year contract with ITV.

According to claims, the I’m A Celebrity… presenters have bagged a “golden handcuffs” deal with the broadcaster as they will celebrate 25 years with the network.

ITV have reportedly offered the comedy duo upwards of £30million and have been eager to finalise the agreement with the much-respected British presenting icons.

Their eagerness comes after massive streaming giants like Netflix and Amazon Prime are also said to be keen to scoop up the pair.

Ant and Dec, who have presented a variety of hit ITV shows, including Saturday Night Takeaway and Limitless Win, had a contract with the broadcaster that expired at the start of the year.

In extending the deal, the duo will also host the new I’m a Celebrity South Africa, which is set to air later in the year and will reportedly feature an “all-star line-up”.

ITV’s head of programming, Kevin Lygo, said: “The world of television and streaming is always a much brighter place with Ant and Dec at the centre of it and we look forward to continuing our successful working relationship with them across the next three years.”

Recently talking, Ant confessed: “We’re so lucky to host the best entertainment shows in the world. We absolutely love our shows and we are both extremely happy and very excited to extend our relationship with ITV for another three years.”

Dec chimed in with: “We can’t believe we are reaching 25 years exclusively with ITV. Especially as we are both only turning 30 this year…!”

Their current project is well underway as they prepare for the new series of Britain’s Got Talent with auditions having started on Monday (January 23).

Ant and Dec are said to have an estimated net worth of more than £62m each as of last year and are two of the best-paid presenters on British TV.

They have won 43 National Television Awards and 18 TV Baftas.

Last year the presenters won a gong for the NTA’s for the 21st time in a row.

In 2019 they were presented with official Guinness World Record certificates for their achievement, which at the time was marked at 18 wins.
