Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt finally co-parenting ‘amicably’ thanks to ‘family therapy’ four years after nasty split – The Sun

ANGELINA Jolie and Brad Pitt are finally co-parenting their six children "amicably".

Tensions have thawed between the actress, 45, and Oscar winner, 56, after years of "family therapy", sources claimed.

The exes, who split in 2016, are parents to sons Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, and Knox, 12, and daughters Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 14, and Vivienne, 12.

"They definitely needed help figuring out all the child-custody issues and how Brad could be a dad again," a source told People.

"Since the kids are older now, they are no longer dealing with separation issues from Angie."

The insider added: "It’s taken them a long time, with a lot of family therapy, to get to this point."

"The younger kids go back and forth between their houses, and Brad loves spending as much time with them as possible. He seems much happier."

Brad and Angelina married in 2014 after meeting on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith in 2005. They filed for divorce in 2016 and are going through a protracted custody battle.

The news that the exes are getting along comes after Brad was spotted leaving Angelina's $24 million mansion after a two-hour stay.

Earlier this month, Angelina, 45, opened up about their tumultuous breakup for one of the first times ever.

The mom-of-six has admitted that it was "the right decision" for her family and that she continues "to focus on their healing.”

The Girl, Interrupted star told British Vogue: “I separated for the wellbeing of my family. It was the right decision. I continue to focus on their healing.

"Some have taken advantage of my silence, and the children see lies about themselves in the media.

“But I remind them that they know their own truth and their own minds."

Who is Alia Shawkat and is she dating Brad Pitt?

Shawkat is an American actress and artist born in Riverside, California. She grew up in Palm Springs.

The 31-year-old old actress has appeared in several television shows including State of Grace, Arrested Development, The Final Girls and up to most recently she plays Dory Sief in the TBS comedy series Search Party.

It was rumored that Pitt and Shawkit were reportedly "hanging out" despite lock down rules during quarantine.

An insider told US Weekly, "They're hanging out plenty."

"They're only about 10 minutes away from each other, so Alia will bike or walk to Brad's place whenever they have time to chill. It's all very organic and easy."

The Once Upon A Time actor and Arrested Development actress, 31, have been spotted together on numerous occasions since last September – from going to concerts to having dinner.

Shawkat addressed the rumors to Vulture, saying: "We're not dating, we're just friends."

"In fact, they are six very brave, very strong young people,” she concluded to the fashion magazine.

Brad and his son, Maddox, have reportedly spent little time together since an alleged altercation on a private jet back in 2016 – which was the beginning of the end of the couple's marriage.

The incident saw the FBI investigate Brad over claims he had been “physically abusive” towards Maddox.

Angelina filed for divorce shortly after and Brad was later cleared. Most recently, Brad has been linked to Arrested Development actress Alia Shawkat.
