A Town Called Malice is coming to Sky on March 16 and the series follows a family who’ve fallen to the bottom of the criminal food chain. They are forced to flee to the Costa del Sol in Spain following a gangland battle and they use this as an opportunity to reinvent themselves. Who is in A Town Called Malice?

Albert Lord – Jason Flemyng

Albert is the patriarch of the family who was one of London’s most-feared gangsters until he blew everything.

He is played by Jason Flemyng, a 56-year-old English actor known for his film roles in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch.

Speaking of his latest role he said: “I’d always really, really wanted to work with Nick Love.

“It was weird because when we did all those Guy Ritchie movies, it seemed like you were either in one camp or the other.

“There weren’t many people who managed to do both. And so I thought I had missed the boat.

“But enough time has passed for Nick to look at me not just as a part of the Guy Ritchie team. I was really chuffed.”

Mint Ma – Martha Plimpton

Ma is the glamorous matriarch who has supported her husband through 40 years of violence and criminality.

She is played by Martha Plimpton, a 52-year-old American actress who rose to prominence in The Goonies.

Her other credits include The Mosquito Coast, Shy People and Small Town Murder Songs.

Gene Lord – Jack Rowan

Gene is not like his older brothers as he has been trying to break away from his criminal family for years.

He is played by Jack Rowan, a 26-year-old English actor known for his role in Born to Kill.

His other credits include Peaky Blinders, Casualty and Silent Witness.

Cindy Carter – Tahirah Sharif

Cindy takes a liking to Gene and she sees him for his smart and cunning self.

She is played by Tahirah Sharif, a 29-year-old British actress who played Carrie Norton in Waterloo Road.

Her other credits include The Haunting of Bly Manor and The Tower.

Leonard Lord – Lex Shrapnel

Leonard is air to the Lord criminal empire and he does the dirty work on behalf of his father.

He is played by Lex Shrapnel, a 43-year-old English actor and voice artist known for The First Avenger and Extinction.

Speaking of his latest role he said: “I really got a feel for the Lord family. Leonard was such a great character.

“I really understood his place within the family. And as I read through the scripts, he just goes on an amazing journey.”

Carly Lord – Eliza Butterworth

Carly is Leonard’s childhood sweetheart who had their son Anthony when she was a teenager.

Leonard’s parents only see her as a trophy wife but she is a lot more than that.

She is played by Eliza Butterworth, a 29-year-old actress best known for playing Aelswith in The Last Kingdom.

Her other credits include The North Water and The Windsors: Endgame.

Kelly Lord – Daniel Sharman

Kelly is the middle child who will try anything to get the attention of his family.

He is played by Daniel Sharman, a 36-year-old English actor known for his roles in Teen Wolf and The Originals.

Viewers may also recognise him from Fear the Walking Dead and Cursed.

Uncle Tony – Dougray Scott

Uncle Tony is Albert’s brother and like him, Tony is a liar and a thief.

He is played by Dougray Scott, a 57-year-old Scottish actor known for his roles in the films Ever After and Mission: Impossible 2.

The star said of his latest role: “Uncle Tony is nothing like me, but he jumped off the page at me.

“As soon as I read it, I thought, ‘Yes, I can do something quite interesting with this character’.

“I’ve met so many of these gangster guys. It’s not my world, but I’ve spoken to them at length and watched so many documentaries about them.”

Anthony Lord – George Jaques

Anthony is the only Lord grandchild who is always getting into mischief.

He is played by George Jaques, a 22-year-old actor, producer and director who founded Athenaeum Productions.

His acting credits include The Serpent Queen and Death on the Nile.

Eddie Smith – Josh Tedeku

Eddie is fresh out of Borstal prison and he was severely damaged by his childhood in 1970s Britain.

He is played by Josh Tedeku, who has previously starred in Moonhaven and Doctors.

A Town Called Malice airs on Sky from March 16
