Steve Irwin’s daughter posts heartwarming photo praising family ahead of wedding

Bindi Irwin has posted a heartwarming photo praising her family ahead of her wedding to Chandler Powell.

The 21-year-old is engaged to her long-term boyfriend Chandler, who is also featuring in the family's new series Crikey It's The Irwins.

The Irwin family have been carrying on animal expert Steve Irwin's legacy after he was tragically killed while filming back in 2006.

Steve died after a stingray barb pierced him in the heart.

Bindi posted a heartfelt picture on Instagram earlier today.

She shared a gorgeous photo of her with her mum Terri and younger brother Robert with her 2.8m followers on Instagram.

Bindi captioned the snap: "Thankful to be on this life journey with my beautiful family. They are my greatest inspiration and whole world."

The Crocodile Hunter's daughter finished the emotional words with a love heart emoji.

Bindi's devoted followers flocked to the pic to shower the Irwin family with love and adoration.

One wrote: "You are the sweetest family. And every time I watch something that y’all are doing, it makes me so emotional… love you all so much"

While another gushed: "Your dad would be so very proud of you both right now. Loved watching him in action. He was so passionate in everything he did. There has been no one who will, or ever compare to him again."

"You guys are the cutest," typed a third.

Bindi and her fiancée Chandler recently opened up about their wedding which is taking place at Australia Zoo.

They sat down to talk to Good Morning America about their special day.

Chandler said: "We're so excited. It's where we met and where we got engaged so it only makes sense that we'd have it at Australia Zoo.

"See, I think this wedding is going to be unique because it's going to be at the zoo and with tons of animals."

Bindi agreed with her beau as she joked: "I'm not sure how many people have walked down the aisle with a koala, but we may be setting some new trends for weddings from here on out."

She continued: "The easiest part of wedding planning is just knowing that I get to marry this amazing guy.

"Whatever else happens it doesn't matter."
