Queen icon Roger Taylor gives a rare look inside his covid retreat ‘God help us all’

Queen’s Roger Taylor admits meeting Adam Lambert was ‘fate’

Queen fans are desperately waiting for news about when the interrupted Rhapsody World Tour will resume. The band had completed the North American, Pan-Asian and Australasian legs of the tour when the global pandemic halted live performances. In teh meantime, band members Roger, Adam Lambert and Brian May have put together the Love Around The World compilation, Roger was promoting the release of the Concert Film which accompanies the Number One album.

Roger posted a new video that started with the distinctive sound of light drumming, later revealed to be the star himself on some bongos.

It panned around a large room, stacked with all types of drums and percussion instruments.

Fittingly for a man who is famously fast and nimble with his hands, there are also some impressive pinball machines.

Roger has given glimpses into his home life before.

The drummer, of course, has probably the world’s biggest memorial to his much-missed bandmate Freddie Mercury at his Guildford home.

He said: “I have a statue of Freddie in the garden, which I love, it’s great, it’s very big. I also thought it would be very funny to have the statue there and I think Freddie would have found it hilarious. He would have found it really funny.”
