Dr. Dre Returns Home from the Hospital After Suffering Brain Aneurysm

Dr. Dre has returned home from the hospital after suffering a brain aneurysm last week.

Fellow rapper Ice-T shared the good news with his followers on Friday, writing on Twitter, "Update: Just FaceTimed with @drdre He just made it home. Safe and looking good."

The musician, born Andre Romelle Young, will have 24/7 medical care in his home following his discharge from the hospital, according to TMZ.

A source previously told PEOPLE the music mogul was "lucid" in recovery. Soon after, Dre, 55, provided a health update of his own on Instagram, writing that he was "doing great and getting excellent care."

"Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes," he wrote in the caption, sharing a photo from a music studio.

"I'm doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team," he added. "I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!"

Not long after news broke that he had been hospitalized, Dre's $50 million Brentwood Estates mansion was the target of an attempted burglary. Four suspects were arrested, the LAPD previously confirmed to PEOPLE. The investigation remains ongoing.

Dre's latest health update comes days after the rapper and his estranged wife Nicole Young reached a temporary financial agreement amid their multi-million dollar divorce. Court documents obtained by PEOPLE on Monday revealed that the superior court of California had ordered the rapper to pay Nicole $2 million.
