Spoilers: Paul Robinson mystery as Terese relapses in Neighbours

Since her breakup with Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) has been hanging on by a thread in Neighbours. But as her mood sinks lower, will the lure of the bottle become too great?

She has a near miss recently when Chloe (April Rose Pengilly) found her with some wine after her first spiral downwards and Chloe managed to get it poured down the sink before Terese got too far. But will Terese be so lucky a second time around?

Terese is stressed about the presentation she has to give and wears herself out to the point that she falls asleep while working on it in The Waterhole. Chloe finds her like this and is concerned, so when Paul arrives on scene offering Terese a ride home, Chloe is keen for her to accept it. Chloe’s grateful for his help even though Terese isn’t, and Terese tells him where to go.

But after some convincing she concedes that she needs a ride home and he happens to be offering one. She should have stuck to her guns though as it turns out it’s a bad move for her – with so much weighing on her shoulders at the moment, spending that time with Paul is enough to tip over the edge.

By the time the Lassiters Summit in Queensland arrives, Terese is hanging onto her sanity by her fingernails. She does her best to avoid Paul at all costs, but as their presentation is a joint project, she has no choice but to work closely with him. She tries to remain stoic, internalising her battle, but when she arrives at the conference and learns Paul has amended their presentation, she’s done. Out comes the hipflask.

Terese is heading for a dark place, but Paul is too distracted to notice – he’s spotted someone familiar in Queensland. It’s a fleeting glimpse and he’s desperate to catch the person to see if it’s who he thinks he is. He sets off on a mission to track them down while Terese is left drowning in her turmoil.

Will anyone realise what she’s doing before it’s too late?

And who is this mystery person?

Scenes air from Monday November 7 on Channel 5.
