Struggling to get your contour right? Well, TikTok may just have the answer. A new makeup hack named skeleton contouring has blown up on the app, with users sharing their spooktacular results.

The clever makeup trick, which aims to give you a more "snatched" look, requires you to draw a skeleton’s face on top of your own, using a contour product, foundation and concealer.

Whilst a normal base makeup routine begins with foundation, this version starts with the contour shade in the areas you’d like to create shadow, before filling in the remaining sections with foundation and concealer.

This hack is perfect for those with round-shaped faces, as it slims the face down and gives the illusion of higher cheekbones.

The hashtag #skeletoncontour has amassed over nine million viewers so far, with beauty fans posting their own makeovers in the hopes of looking more defined.

One impressive clip is from TikTok user Soph Martine, who attempted the hack herself and shared the results with her 38.5K followers.

Starting off completely bare-faced, we see the beauty influencer carefully contouring her cheekbones, forehead and nose with Made By Mitchell’s Blursh Bronzed Liquid Bronzer, £16 here.

She then applies Tarte’s Face Tape Foundation, £33 here between the lines, and brightens her under eye with the Shape Tape Concealer – which retails for £24 here.

The result? The contour of dreams – but don’t just take our word for it. The comment section is full of users praising Jessica on her makeup skills.

“Wow, your makeup is my goal,” one person says, while another jokes; “Well it makes sense that this is how we should be contouring, because we’re skeletons lol”.

“It turned out so nice,” a third writes.

Some fans in the comment section aren’t so convinced, with many concerned about the negative effects of wearing so much makeup.

“Umm so girls, is that much makeup not bad for your skin?” one person asks.

“DON’T USE THE MAKEUP. Your face is so clear,” another says.

We don’t know about you but we think this hack is genius. Just don’t forget to double cleanse your skin at night to avoid any breakouts.
