The Love Island stars of 2021 have settled into the villa life quite well with lounging about by the pool and mastering the art of pulling people for a chat on the swings.
But, they've also developed a rather interesting habit every single morning they've been living in paradise in Majorca.
Every day we see the majority of the islanders waking up wearing their sunglasses after a long day of grafting and it's safe to say viewers are confused over this wake up regime.
One tweeted: "Why do they wear sunglasses as soon as they wake up #LoveIsland," while another quizzed: "The first thing you do when you wake up is put on sunglasses?"
"Not even to brush your teeth or wash your face???????? #LoveIsland."
One viewer also shared: "I’m not really understanding the whole waking up and reaching for sunglasses."
So, what is the reason behind the stars waking up in their shades after a deep sleep?
One social media user hinted to know the answer as to why they do this.
They claimed past contestants have revealed it is because the bedroom light is very bright first thing in the morning.
"Are the lights really THAT bright to be wearing sunglasses?" the Twitter user said.

Another asked: "Do these lot wear sunglasses when they wake up to hide their eye crust or what?? #loveisland," to which another replied: "I think it’s the bright lights in the bedroom."
Elma Pazar, who starred on Love Island in 2019 alongside Maura Higgins as a bombshell, also set the record straight on the habit.
She replied to a fan: "The light is so bright when it flicks on and also I don’t know many people that wake up pretty in the mornings, the more of the face hidden before it’s washed the better," with laughing face emojis.
It comes after fans have been calling Hugo Hammond the new host of Love Island as presenter Laura Whitmore has only been seen on screen for 11 minutes and 51 seconds so far this season.
A viewer tweeted: "Sorry but I swear Hugo has actually replaced Laura Whitmore as host??! This man is a CONTESTANT!!! Please concentrate on finding love!! #LoveIsland."
Another said: "As in Hugo has taken over as the host of this show. Where the hell is Laura Whitmore. #LoveIsland."
