Lengthen your eyelashes in two weeks with 5-star serum – claims

One of the most common eyelash struggles is having short or stubby natural lashes. Short lashes can be caused by a variety of factors, including genetics, age, and rough treatment. No matter why your lashes are short, it’s possible to get longer, thicker lashes through a variety of means, treatments and products. Express.co.uk spoke to Glow For It about its new Lash Growth Serum and why it might be a better – and cheaper – alternative to extensions. Fans have agreed, with hundreds of 4 and 5 star ratings.

If you’re struggling with short, thin, sparse lashes, and dream about long, thick eyelashes, you may consider eyelash extensions.

Whilst eyelash extensions are incredibly popular, they are also very expensive. Classic eyelash extensions can cost around £75 to £95 per set, whilst customers can pay up to £130 for volume extensions.

After two to three weeks, the extensions can start to look gappy as natural shedding occurs and to fill in the gaps, you might need infills which can cost a further £35 to £75.

Eyelash growth serums have been in the beauty market for some time, but have been notoriously expensive. Glow For It’s Lash Growth Serum is priced at £29.99, but does it really work?

The brand said: “Our Glow For It Lash Growth Serum has been scientifically proven to enhance the appearance of your lashes in as little as 14 days.

“Filled with natural ingredients, our serum provides your lashes with essential vitamins and nutrients to stimulate the hair follicle and promote growth.”

The eyelash serum is “non-harmful, vegan and cruelty-free”, and the “essential nutrients condition the lashes” resulting in “beautiful, healthy, strong lashes”.

Pumpkin seed extract is a “superfood” and packed with “fatty acids, antioxidants, iron, zinc, magnesium and vitamin B2”.

Panax Ginseng, on the other hand, “contains two significant compounds: ginsenosides and gintonin. These compounds complement one another to provide strengthening qualities”.

Swertia Japonica Extract “contains high concentrations of natural flavonoids and antioxidants”, whilst Acorus Calamus Root “is widely known for its ability to strengthen hair follicles and condition the follicle roots”.

To use the serum, you need to have clean, dry lashes. Apply at night and repeat daily. For best results, use the serum for three months continuously.

Glow For It is so confident in the serum, they offer a money-back guarantee. But what do customers say? The product has been given a 4.9 out of five-star review, with nearly 800 people leaving a review online.

Paula said: “I am now on my 4th… YES 4th… tube of this lash serum. The obsession is REAL! I have never found a product that is so effective. The results are unlike anything I have ever seen before. As someone who has used many serums in the past, this one is by far the most affordable and most effective! Seriously could not recommend enough.”

Jodi commented: “Girls, let me tell you, this product is amazing! When I tell you in two weeks I was already seeing results, but now, my lashes are a dream. I have never had long lashes in my life and this serum has helped me grow the most incredible long, luscious lashes.”

Olivia revealed: “Without a doubt the best purchase I have ever made. My lashes were so short and stumpy before and now they are so long and thick!”

Jen said: “This is not an ad I am just a big fan of this lash growth serum. I’ve tried quite a few eyelash serums over the years but I’m loving this! I am so pleased with my results so far.”

Once you’ve grown your eyelashes, there are a few makeup tricks to “lift” the eye if you have mature skin.

There are other ways you can look after your eyelashes, without buying a serum. And if you have mature eyes, there are a few products makeup artists suggest not using.

1. Remove mascara before bed

Mascara is one of the most popular beauty products in the world, and millions of women apply it daily to extend and darken natural eye lashes.

But mascara can make eyelashes brittle and more prone to breakage, especially if you leave it on overnight, and your face rubs against the pillow.

When removing eye makeup, including mascara, do it gently to reduce the risk of losing eyelashes.

2. Use eyelash curlers with caution

When used correctly, eyelash curlers can add lift and volume. But when used incorrectly, an eyelash curler can cause lashes to break or fall out.

Avoid pulling on your eye, or pinching your skin, and be sure to disengage the device before moving it away from your lashes.
