Katie Holmes knows that the best way to bounce back from a breakup is with a little fashion.
Fresh off her split from Jamie Foxx (and a viral style moment involving a cashmere bra), the 40-year-old actress is busily making the rounds at New York Fashion Week in some excellent outfits.
On Wednesday, Holmes attended a Zimmermann dinner and store party in an all-black ensemble that blended leather with lace. She wore the brand’s “Espionage” dress ($617) layered beneath a classic blazer and paired with pointy-toed leather ankle boots, a croc-embossed clutch and a mix of gold necklaces.
“What I love about [Zimmermann’s] clothes is so many different kinds of women can wear it, and I feel it celebrates the intelligence of a woman, and also the free spirit of a woman, and the playfulness,” the “Dawson’s Creek” alum told WWD at the fête. “I feel like they are very in tune with women of 2019.”
Then, on Thursday, Holmes sat front row at the Elie Tahari show alongside Chanel Iman and Delilah Belle Hamlin, clad in black leather pants and a light-wash denim jacket layered under a white cable-knit cardigan.
Time will tell if Holmes’ sweater sparks the same craze as her last piece of knitwear.
