Steven Harrington is gearing up to release his final MELLO sculpture portraying his ubiquitous, cartoonish dog character. The last iteration follows numerous versions of the bowtie-clad mascot including his twisted palm tree option entitled GOTCHA back in 2018 and collaborative options with the likes of Pharrell’s ICECREAM label in 2019.
Standing at 12 inches tall, the final MELLO limited edition sculpture will only release in an edition of just 100 pieces. Once sold out, the figure will never be reproduced. The collectible was inspired by Harrington’s 14-foot aluminum sculpture at Loft One in South Korea which was unveiled in January 2020.
MELLO will be available on January 22 at 12:00pm PST on Steven Harrington’s online shop.If you’re interested in acquiring this sculpture then you will need to sign up for the artist’s “early drop” list which helps against bots and gets the works directly in the hands of fans and collectors. “For early-drop-access on art-releases, sign up for our ”Early Art-Drop list” You will receive a pre-release password for early purchase a couple days before the public release. All sales final,” said the artist on Instagram.
