MING is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a new version of its Mosaic dial, the MING 37.07 – Mosaic For All.
When the original Mosaic dropped in 2020 – the eight-piece 20.01 subscription watch that paid for the development of the laser-etched Mosaic process – the microbrand had numerous requests for “something similar in a more accessible model,” noting that the dials of those watches alone would cost “quite a bit more” than its original $900 USD 17.01 watches.
The “reductivist, radially symmetric, layered, nuanced” MING 37.07 – Mosaic For All features a familiar and luminous central texture but, with its handwound movement, sits at a much more accessible price point than its previous Mosaic watches.
The Mosaic is printed across three layers – two on the sapphire crystal and one on the brass dial – for added depth.
The watch – assembled by Schwarz-Etienne – uses a Sellita for MING SW210.M1 movement with anthracite skeletonized bridges with “contrast rhodium circular brushing” housed inside a 38mm stainless steel case water resistant to 100m.
Ming will be taking orders for the 37.07 Mosaic For All for a limited time only on July 29, from 2AM – 2:15AM GMT and 1PM – 1:15PM, requiring a 50% deposit of CHF 1,625 (approximately $1,685 USD) with the remainder payable on delivery, which is estimated to begin in May 2023.
Elsewhere in watches, Panerai drops new Team Luna Rossa Luminor.
