The narrative around golf and its association with the fashion world has taken a complete 180 degree turn in recent years. Sportswear labels like Nike, Jordan Brand and adidas are putting forth more efforts into tapping into the space, new streetwear brands inspired by the sport are emerging and more collaborative projects between existing golf imprints and fashion projects are getting pushed to the frontlines. And this season, the latter is set to grow by one entry that involves a golf accessories capsule between Saturdays NYC and BRIEFING.
There are a total of eight items lined up for this assemblage. The Big Apple-based fashion brand and the golf bag manufacturer have generated co-branded caddy bags, head covers, cart totes and pouches, all of which are fashioned in a dark navy colorway with stark black trim. On the caddy bag, you’ll find an oversized “Saturdays NYC” spell-out that’s embroidered onto the side in white while the “BRIEFING” moniker touches down on the zippered pocket. Each of the individual head covers are furnished with “BRIEFING” branding as well.
The collaboration is expected to globally drop in early May, but you can start reserving the items through BRIEFING locations starting on April 1. A limited quantity will also be available for the opening of the Hankyu Umeda store on April 12.
