Eminem Meets Mozzy, Polo G and Skylar Grey on "Last One Standing"

Ahead of the premiere of Venom: Let There Be Carnage on Friday, Eminem, Polo G, Mozzy and Skylar Grey have unveiled a collaborative new track, titled “Last One Standing,” off the upcoming movie’s soundtrack.

Grey leads the single with grounding vocals, while each rapper takes turns dropping bars in support. “Now you see me standin’ in the lights/ But you never saw my sacrifice,” she sings on the chorus.

Polo G and Mozzy take the mic first, before Eminem commands the third verse, rapping, “Not to mention, I learned/ How to turn resentment and hurt/ To an unquenchable thirst, in the simplest terms/ It’s revenge of the nerd, in every sense of the word.”

Taking place one year after the original Venom from 2018 ended, Venom: Let There Be Carnage sees Tom Hardy return as Eddie Brock, a journalist with an alien symbiote living inside him, alongside Michelle Williams, who plays his character’s love interest, Anne Weying. The Andy Serkis-directed sequel centers on a conflict between Hardy’s alien counterpart, Venom, and the plot’s villain, Cletus Kasady, or Carnage, played by Woody Harrelson.

The film was first slated to premiere in October 2020, but experienced delays due to the ongoing COVID pandemic. The release date was then moved to September 24, 2021, before being pushed back once more to October 1.
