CamperLab's EKI Ankle Boot Is a Penny Loafer in Disguise

Never one to shy away from pushing boundaries, CamperLab is back and stronger than ever with its all-new EKI ankle boot. This new style features a number of design elements that make it bang on trend, while other components are sure to leave the room divided.

We’ll start with the unavoidable. There’s a square toe (which happens to be a huge trend once again this year), and it’s also offset making the pair look asymmetrical as the boot comes inwards on the medial side. Leading up towards the vamp and we stumble upon an unexpected find: the strap from a penny loafer.

This has been added because the EKI ankle boot takes after CamperLab’s EKI boat shoes and Walden loafer, which when combined and extended result in the boots you see above. The brushed black calf leather creates a loose-fitting boot, sporting its mottled and worn-out effect in a highly polished finish.

Supporting the shoe is an incredibly rugged and chunky Michelin-provided sole unit that’s branded with CamperLab’s signature on the outsole. Inside, an OrthoLite insole has been added for extra comfort. Take a closer look at the CamperLab EKI ankle boot above, and pick up a pair from the Camper website for $545 USD while stocks last.
