Bottega Veneta's FW23 Campaign Pictures Matthieu Blazy's Fashions in Everyday Milan

Bottega Veneta’s Fall/Winter 2023 campaign pictures Matthieu Blazy’s third collection for the Italian fashion house out and about, on a slew of booked-and-busy subjects. In a series of on-the-go shots by Louise & Maria Thornfeldt, Malick Bodian and Sander Muylaert, the brand’s next-season, high-fashion wares are captured in everyday life: on the streets of Milan, inside the city’s towers, waiting for elevators and queuing at the help desk.

Here, Blazy’s Bottega Veneta visually articulates the idea that its masterful fashions can enhance familiar places, and further, that they serve to supplement their wearer’s persona. In each frame, models, including Liu Wen, Mariacarla Boscono, Alejandro Albaladejo Diaz, Cecilia Wu, Lara Menezes, Paola Manes and Walid Fiher, play one part in the brand’s larger goal of interpolating its works into society’s commonplaces.

Alongside the campaign’s still imagery, Blazy recruited director Massimiliano Bomba to create a sartorial video for the collection. The filmmaker, who previously helmed Bottega’s The Craftsmanship video, recorded the brand’s FW23 designs in motion, following models across ordinary Milanese locations in a quick-cutting sequence.
