Birkenstock’s Zurich and Kyoto Silhouettes Come ‘Street Approved’ in Latest Campaign

Birkenstock’s new season visuals spotlight five creatives through a diary of low-key snapshots, capturing how they epitomize contemporary streetwear. Hailing from the artistic hubs of Berlin and London, they share which Birkenstock models they’ve adopted in their style including the latest iterations of the Zurich and Kyoto.

Re-envisioning the old in a new light, the Zurich, first released in 1964, has seen constant interpretations from decades of wearers. The closed-toed design, thin straps and signature buckles offer a timeless look, with a napped suede bringing unique softness to the upper. As well asan added foam layer, the wraparound sandal provides comfort for all-day wearability. Encompassing the silhouette’s heritage, British musician Goya Gumbani brings his soulful old-school-meets-new aesthetic to the shoe while founder of deadHYPE, Bernard Koomson introduces a double denim fit to the Birkenstock discourse.
