adidas has just presented two new versions of its COS Supernova sneaker — and one pair is coated in a bold blue hue, while the other is coming in gold.
The Supernova line is one of adidas’ most notable archives and it has continued to navigate its way through the modern sneaker sphere with engaging and unique designs, most of which take inspiration from the brand’s debuted editions from the early 2000s.
With this in mind, the new COS Supernova shoes have taken even more inspiration from early running silhouettes. More specifically, this shoe takes pointers from the old adidas Galaxy sneakers that came into popularity at the start of the 2000s. However, this new sneaker features hand-dyed upper treatments, while stone washing has been used to mimic the wear-and-tear they would be likely to receive if the sneaker was to be worn out of space.
Furthermore, the shoe also features an EVA midsole and FORMATION technology on the heel which has been integrated to provide a springier step and more support when wearing the sneaker over a long distance. Rounding off the design, a rubber outsole has been used alongside an understated textile lining that ties everything together.
You can have a closer look at the new COS Supernova sneakers above and they will be available on the official adidas website from December 20.
