David Beckham, 46, was often supported by his wife Victoria Beckham in the crowd during his prime football days. The former Spice Girl was regularly pictured with the likes of Ashley Cole’s ex-wife Cheryl and Wayne Rooney’s wife Coleen Rooney.

David retired from football in 2013 and has since gone on to be one of the owners of the Inter Miami team.

The former sportsman was pictured supporting England against Germany at Wembley Stadium earlier this week.

Ahead of the match, Victoria, 47, shared throwbacks from her time supporting England in Baden-Baden in 2006.

At the time, mass attention surrounded the WAGs, but Victoria now believes it’s a thing of the past.

Recalling the attention she used to get as the wife of the team captain, she said: “Back then you got criticised in the press if you dared to wear the same thing twice.

“Now it’s the opposite.

“It’s amazing how much things have moved on,” she added to The Telegraph.

The former Spice Girl added she doesn’t think being a WAG – an acronym for Wives and Girlfriends – is “such a thing now”.

One of Victoria’s iconic WAG looks was of her sporting a red top which read, “England rocks”.

The Spice Girl completed her look with tiny white shorts and high-heeled boots.

She was often pictured showcasing her well-defined pins in short outfits and wearing oversized sunglasses.

She said of some of her notorious looks: “I’m pretty sure I was being ironic, at least I hope so.”

Victoria went on to launch her very own successful fashion line in 2008.

Earlier this month, she wished England well from home as David and her sons went to support the team at Wembley.

Her spouse was pictured sitting alongside Ed Sheehan and his wife Cherry Seaborn.

The fashionista shared a meme of the pair on her Instagram Story which jokingly suggested Ed looked like David’s intern.

She commented: “Love you really Ed.”

Following England’s 2-0 win against Germany, David shared a picture of him alongside son Romeo.

He commented: “Special night last night at Wembley with fans back in the stadium watching the boys @england beat Germany.

“Special to share this with one of my boys @romeobeckham #OnToTheNext.”
