Tyler Childers’ ‘Country Squire’ Debuts At No. 1 On Top Country Albums Chart

Country star Tyler Childers‘ most recent album, Country Squire, has toppled Luke Combs‘ double-platinum album, This One’s For You, to climb atop Billboard‘s Top Country Albums chart in the week ending August 17.

The album, which was released on August 2, earned a total of 32,000 equivalent album units in its first week alone, with 24,000 of them being through album sales.

“Thanks to all y’all for making it such a big week for my new album, Country Squire. I greatly appreciate all the support,” Childers shared on Instagram, alongside a picture of the chart.

Produced by Sturgill Simpson and David Ferguson, Country Squire is Childers’ second album to enter the list after 2017’s Purgatory, which peaked at No. 17 in August of the same year.

Presently touring across North America and Europe, the 28-year-old singer is next set to perform at the Missouri State Fair in the Sedalia fairground, alongside Brent Cobb.
