Dermot O'Leary has revealed that he was forced to have an off-screen chat with Alison Hammond after an 'awkward on-air moment'.
Back in January, the 48 year old presenter and the 46 year old former Big Brother contestant were announced as This Morning's new Friday presenters.
However, Dermot explained that the pair 'both did something that the other didn't like' after they 'were thrown together with no time to prepare'.
"We never got to pilot, we'd never read a script through, we didn't even have lunch together," he told Fabulous magazine.
Dermot recalled meeting Alison for the "first time in 15 years" before presenting "two-and-a-half hours of live television together."
He said they were soon forced to sit down and talk through the issue.
"We both did something that the other didn't like – nothing major – but after it happened, we looked at each other, and I said: 'You didn't like it when I did that, did you?' And she said no, she didn't."
Dermot said he then told Alison he also didn't like a particular thing she did.
"We both laughed because now we knew. The most important thing is to find out what annoys the other and make sure you don't do it again."
The father-of-one added that now that they have cleared the air, they enjoy working together, and Alison is "like a sister" to him.
Alison had previously spoken of their differences back in May when she told Lorraine: "We were thrown together on a Friday a bit like an arranged marriage, and it took about two months before we became comfortable.
"We told each other what we don't like, we were so honest, and I think that's why it's worked," she added.
