Stacey Solomon visits dog Theos final resting place in Pickle Cottage

Stacey Solomon visited her beloved pet dog Theo's final resting place on the grounds of her home at Pickle Cottage Monday night.

The 32 year old opened up on her poignant and very personal late-night trip as she continues to grieve her adorable family pooch, who died in her arms.

Posting an image of a lovely lit walkway through her gardens, Stacey titled her Instagram story: "Goodnight.

"Put the boys to bed and went for a little walk to go and see Theo. She's resting under the magnolia tree."

Showing the beautiful foliage archways as she held up a glass in the moonlight, the Sort Your Life Out presenter continued: "I think about her the most at night because it's when she would be excited to jump on my lap for cuddles once the boys were in bed…

"Today I thought about her a lot looking through my old videos trying to find videos of when we moved here.

"But I know wherever she is she's happy and keeping someone's lap warm.

"I hope you've had a lovely Monday lots of love," the sad star added.

Mum-of-four Stacey, who is engaged to actor Joe Swash, has become a social media sensation with her home style and DIY posts.

She also regularly engages with her followers about her adorable life with her family and pet dogs at Pickle Cottage.

So her fans were equally devastated when the star shared her sad news that her dog Theo had died in the period between Christmas and New Year.

Stacey thanked her fans for the support and said she'd been taking "comfort" from their messages and well-wishes.

But sadly, the Tap to Tidy author is still feeling "guilt" over Theo's death, after she died on Boxing Day at the age of 11, and has also found it difficult to see the family's other dog Peanut struggling so much without his best pal.

At the time of her announcement, Stacey said Peanut was "missing his cuddle buddy very much".

The star said she and the rest of the family have been "trying to make it up to him in our cuddles but I know it’s just not the same", but the pup is finally starting to get back to his usual self.

Stacey recently shared some snaps of her and son Rex, two, taking the loveable canine for a walk.
