S Club 7s Jo OMeara rushed to hospital in worst pain as singer gives health update

S Club 7 star Jo O'Meara has revealed that she is "devastated" to be back in hospital again after thinking she was on the "road to recovery."

Earlier this year Jo, 43, underwent emergency surgery on her back to remove a disk. However she later announced that didn't go as expected, leaving her in "horrendous" amounts of pain.

And the singer has now shared that she has once again been rushed into hospital, sharing a snap of herself hooked up to an IV drip on Saturday.

Giving fans an update, she wrote: "When am I gonna get a break ?? I really thought I was on the road to recovery. 4am this morning the pain was the worst it’s been yet!

"So here we are again! I am devastated," she revealed as she concluded the short message.

Her comments were quick to fill with well-wishes, with Liberty X's Michelle Heaton writing: "Ah babes xxx sending love x."

"Oh no… Get well soon Jo. Sending lots of love to You", penned another commenter, with a third adding: "Get well, sending Love and Hugs, I'll be praying for you speed recovery."

And a forth commented: "Get well soon Jo so sorry to hear this I am here to support you Jo lots of love from Your fan Amy."

The singer, who injured her back in 2002, had to cancel an appearance at Fife Pride earlier this year due to a previous hospital dash.

At the time, she shared a snap of herself in a hospital gown and red socks as she put a hand to her chest and stared solemnly into the camera.

Sharing this on Instagram in a post she captioned "UPDATE", Jo apologised for having to cancel her headlining appearance at Fife Pride, despite previously insisting she would perform, before revealing that she needed surgery to "remove the disk" in her back.

She wrote: "As you may well know I have had some health issues with my back recently and it has resulted in me needing surgery to remove the disc and fix the problem.

"The pain has been unbearable, and I have been advised surgery is now my only option and been told this is something that’s needs doing urgently to prevent further damage to my back! so I will be going in for the procedure Tomorrow!"

She finished her post apologising profusely for missing the Pride event, saying that she was "beyond upset to be missing out on such a special day", before imploring her fans to "Reach for the Stars."
