Piers Morgan reignites Denise Welch feud with outburst about Loose Women star

Piers Morgan reignited his feud with Denise Welch as he hit out at his former employer ITV.

The controversial broadcaster, 58, sensationally quit Good Morning Britain back in 2021 following an on-air row with Alex Beresford about Meghan Markle.

And with Phillip Schofield's drama hitting headlines, Piers hasn't missed the chance to speak out about his former employer and one-time ITV stablemates.

Following Phil's departure, Piers labelled ITV's treatment of the presenter as "ruthless", and has now discussed his own experiences of working for the broadcaster – all while reviving his feud with the 65 year old Loose Women panellist.

In his column for The Sun, Piers took aim at the network itself, and some of those working there, primarily Alex and Denise.

He wrote: "I met a lot of good, decent people when I worked in that environment, and took some of them with me when I joined TalkTV.

"But there are more than a few I would now cross continents to avoid, like GMB’s deputy stand-in weatherman Alex Beresford who begged me for media advice then tried – and failed – to make a name for himself taking me down on my last show with a pre-rehearsed attack speech.

"Or the likes of Loose Women’s Denise Welch, a vile, spiteful hypocrite who makes a fortune from preaching about the need to ‘be kind’ but likes nothing better than spewing hateful foul-mouthed abuse at people on Twitter."

Denise and Piers have been embroiled in a feud for a number or years, with Piers's son Spencer recently wading in to label Denise an "bully".

Joking about a potential return to GMB, after Prince Harry took part in a number of high-profile interviews to promote his book Spare, Piers tweeted: "I seem to recall being forced out of my job at @GMB for disbelieving Harry & Meghan’s unsubstantiated racism claims against the Royal Family.

"Now he’s finally admitted there was no racism, two questions: a) Do I get my old job back? b) Why should we believe a word they say?"

To which Spencer immediately responded: "Have @itv apologised to @piersmorgan yet?"

Denise had much to say about this comment though as she hit back: "What for?? Has he apologised to the nation for his abuse of people not vaccinated?? For terrifying people on a daily basis for 2 yrs!!! For bullying people with mental health issues??"

Continuing his support for his father, Spencer responded: "Lol. You’re the most abusive bully on this app. Do one."

Denise replied: "Oh please!!!" followed by a series of crying with laughter emojis.
