Amanda Owen, 47, took to Twitter yesterday to thank Our Yorkshire Farm fans for their support, as the Owens grieved a recent death. The Yorkshire shepherdess was seen on this week’s episode of Channel 5 show Our Yorkshire Farm telling her children that their Shetland pony, Little Joe, had died suddenly at the age of 40.

The TV star received an outpouring of support after viewers found out about the sad news.

In view of her 177,000 Twitter followers, Amanda paid tribute to Little Joe and thanked fans for their words.

She accompanied the post with four pictures of her children alongside Little Joe in the green pastures.

She typed: “Thank you to all the people that have sent us sweet messages about Little Joe.

“He had a heart of gold. He might have gone away, leaving earthly pastures to roam the Elysian Fields but his legacy remains.

“The children’s love of horses.”

The shepherdess also added a string of heart and horse emojis and the hashtag “#notforgotten”.

Fans of the TV personality followed suit and replied to her tweet, paying tribute to the pony.
