Orlando Bloom’s perilous Pirates of the Caribbean adventures jumped from the world of fiction to reality as he was spotted paddleboarding as a shark circled below him.

Heading out to the pacific waters just off the coast of Malibu, the 44 year old star was out with his friend when Carlos Gauna captured the clip of the star.

Sharing the clip on social media, Orlando captioned: “Paddle Boarding With Great Whites,

“When fear becomes your friend and @themalibuartist captures the moment.”

Orlando tagged Carlos in the clip, the local photographer who managed to capture the footage of the shark below.

Carlos responded to Orland’s post, saying: “Awesome day man, you got some good looks of a large juvenile white shark. Happy for you! Something you'll never forget. Very calm shark just chilling in Malibu!”

Carlos’ amazing work capturing shots of sharks has gained him a tidy 76,000 followers.

Fans of Orlando were quick to make reference to a famous paddleboarding photo of himself and partner Katy Perry, where the star was seen paddling nude.

One fan commented: “Yep we all remember the other paddle boarding picture,”

Another joked: “you look a lot different this time on a paddelboard than the last time I saw you on a paddleboard.”

Others congratulated Orlando for going out for the shoot, with one saying: “Wow!! Amazing”.

Another writing: “How cool is that!”

Orlando and Katy recently celebrated their daughter’s first birthday by sharing a loving tribute to their baby girl online.

Katy shared on Twitter: “1 year ago today is the day my life began… Happy first Birthday my Daisy Dove, my love."

The pair had welcomed Daisy Dove in August of 2020 but have kept her hidden from fans on social media.

Orlando currently voices his neighbour Prince Harry in the new cartoon show, The Prince.

The controversial show has been criticised for poking fun at the royal family through a fiction portrayal of Prince George.

The creator of the show, Gary Janetti has claimed that Harry knew his real life neighbour would be voicing him on the series, with Orlando defending the premise in an interview with The Telegraph.

He said: "It's quite tender, actually – my character with George, it's a really lovely relationship. It's not as mean as people think."
