Naomi Osaka Saves a Butterfly That Lands on Her Face in the Middle of a Tennis Match

Naomi Osaka had a special moment at the Australia Open on Friday—and it didn’t have anything to do with tennis. The 23-year-old athlete had an unexpected visitor on the court during a match with Ons Jabeur. A small butterfly landed on Naomi’s hand and she (like the goddess she is) paused to make sure the little butterfly flew away safely. Except, it didn’t want to go. Instead, the butterfly landed right on her cheek and the world collectively gasped at the sweet moment.

“Even the butterflies in Australia love @naomiosaka,” the Australian Open’s Twitter account captioned a clip of the moment, adding a blue butterfly and a face with tears of joy emoji.
