“Shahs of Sunset” star Reza Farahan has allegedly threatened legal action against co-star and longtime friend Mike Shouhed.
On Thursday, Shouhed, 41, posted a screenshot of what he says is a cease and desist letter sent on behalf of Farahan and his legal team.
The letter demands Shouhed stop making T-shirts for his True Gold clothing line with Farahan’s face on them since it was allegedly done “without Mr. Farahan’s consent.”
“You are selling and/or offering for sale articles of clothing misappropriating Mr. Farahan’s name, image and other indicia of personality,” the letter reads, according to Shouhed’s screenshot on Instagram. “The selling and offering for sale of the Infringing Products violates our client’s unfair competition rights and rights of personality and public laws.”
Shouhed wrote on Instagram “Gawdamn!” with a broken heart emoji.
“GUESS HE’S ‘NOT MY HOMEBOY’!” he added. “What’s the fxckin World come too — this what happens when dudes got his panties in a bunch! You got my # bro, you could of just texted me and we handled this like 1.5 men, instead of making ur cousin write this letter.”
Shouhed also posted a photo of him wearing a “Reza Is My Homeboy” shirt next to Farahan himself during a taping of “Shahs of Sunset” four years ago.
“Reza, were u closing ur eyes??” he wrote in the caption. “I can’t tell! Now u have a problem with it bro?”
As of Friday afternoon, Shouhed is still selling T-shirts with Farahan’s face under his “Shahs collection.” There are two “Reza Is My Homeboy” shirts — one for men and one for women — on the website marked for $25 each.
Farahan’s reps declined to comment on the matter. Page Six has also reached out to Farahan’s attorney.
Meanwhile, fellow “Shahs” co-star Mercedes Javid, who is also currently feuding with Farahan, reposted Shouhed’s Instagram post on her profile.
She wrote, “Taking legal action on your best friends is really ‘cool.’ Just when you thought 👨🏻 couldn’t sink any lower, he did!”
Cast member Golnesa Gharachedaghi, who appears to be on Farahan’s side, shared a meme on Instagram Thursday that said, “A year later and the toxic people I walked away from are still in the same place. I made the right decision.”
She added, “Growth is a scary and difficult thing. But once you defeat those fears and difficulties, you pat yourself on the back and keep growing forward! My tribe decreased in size but increased in value.”
Farahan, 46, commented, “AMEN.”
Bravo has not announced a return date for Season 8 of “Shahs of Sunset.”
