Love Island favourite Dr Alex George has taken to social media to announce that he and his girlfriend Ellie Hecht have got a dog together.

The pair have since been inundated with congratulations, with many people commenting on how undeniably cute Freddie is.
Fellow Love Islander Samira Mighty said: “Omg I want!!!!” as Demi Jones shared: “The cutest”.
Another person said: “Ohhhh, too cute! Congratulations guys,” while someone else penned: “He is BEAUTIFUL!!”

She wrote: “Welcome home Freddie. Alex & I have been thinking about getting a dog of our own for a long time. We are both fortunate enough to have jobs that allow for us to work from home a lot.
“A friend of ours was having puppies, so we decided what a perfect start to the new year by having a beautiful little puppy. Freddie, we love you so much already, welcome to the family”.
Ellie and George went public with their relationship last summer and, in the wake of doing so, Ellie went on to beinundated with horrific antisemitic abuse.
Hitting back at the trolls being cruel to her, Alex reshared a lengthy statement written by Ellie on Instagram where she said “things need to change”.
Her post read: “Here are a handful of shocking messages I have received for my family heritage, from some uneducated trolls. I wasn't going to post this but I have seen a lot of antisemitism recently and it isn't talked about enough and I am shocked by the silence of the majority in the wake of very recent antisemitism.
"Jewish people have been persecuted for hundreds of years and it is still NOT okay. I couldn't be more proud of my family heritage and on that note, I urge people to educate themselves before committing a hate crime.
"THINK before you send a horrible message. THINK before you are cruel to someone else for NO reason.”
