Love Island finally made its summer series return on Monday evening as the famous Mallorcan villa opened its doors to some more singletons.
But eagle-eyed fans noticed that there was one feature missing from the ITV2 show, whose headline sponsor is now online marketplace EBay.
Previously primarily sponsored by Just Eat, the food delivery company would air cheeky adverts with parrots during the ad breaks in previous years – a feature which has now been replaced with EBay ads.
Featuring a number of animals – including two parrots named Izzy and Lloyd who would dance, sing and chat – the adverts were a hit among viewers.
The switch hasn't gone unnoticed either, with many taking to social media to express their sadness over no longer seeing the parrots.
"Petition to bring back the dancing parrots on love island adverts," wrote one fan via Twitter. Another questioned, "Nooo where are the parrots".
A third echoed, "JUSTICE FOR THE JUST EAT ANIMALS BRING ME BACK MY PARROTS".
EBay's partnership with the show began in summer 2022, with the online marketplace providing the islanders with pre-loved fashion during their time on the show as they moved to a more sustainable future.
The brand has also recruited summer finalist Tasha Ghouri and winter finalist Tom Clare as their pre-loved ambassadors after the duo both showed off their sense of style in their respective series'.
The sponsor isn't the only switch up this year either, as Monday's debut episode saw things go slightly differently when it came to the initial couples.
Usually, islanders of the same sex enter the villa together, before the other half come and get to choose who they'd like to couple up with.
This time however, show bosses have decided to shake the format up and gave the public the power instead, but it meant that the islanders all had a chance to mingle and chat in the villa beforehand.
Fans were decidedly unimpressed as they witnessed the first girls through the door, Ruchee Gurung, 24, and Jess, 22, already having the opportunity to chat to Sheffield boy Mitchel Taylor, 26, before anyone else could.
After that, Andre swooped into the villa, and it wasn't long before the group were already laying it on thick with the flirting.
Not convinced, many fans took to social media to declare that the new format was too similar to rival Netflix dating show Too Hot To Handle..
As a result of the public vote, the couples now are; Ruchee and Mehdi Edno, 26, Ella Thomas, 23, and Tyrique Hyde, 24, Jess Harding, 22, and George Fensom, 24, Catherine Agbaje, 22, and Andre Furtado, 21, and Molly Marsh, 21, and Mitchel Taylor, 26.
