Lil Nas X, who came out as gay at the end of Pride Month in June, said he’s “somewhat” in a relationship during Monday’s episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
Speaking about his decision to open up about his sexuality, the rapper said, “It was something I should have done.”
“In the past year, I’m at a new level so it doesn’t really matter I guess,” he told Ellen DeGeneres. “Also just how it would be good for the young ones who are listening to me right now who are going to have to go through stuff like this in the future to know it’s alright.”
Lil Nas X, who won two MTV Video Music Awards and made history with the longest running No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 song, received a lot of support for coming out as homosexual.
