Kelly Clarkson Rocks Cover Of Heart’s ‘Barracuda’

Kelly Clarkson covered Heart‘s hit song “Barracuda” for the “Kellyoke” segment on her talk show, “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on Thursday, February 4.

“You lying so low into the weeds/ I bet you gonna ambush me/ You’d have me down, down, down, down on my knees/ Now won’t you, Barracuda?” Clarkson sings in the chorus as she is accompanied by her band Y’all.

“Barracuda” is a song from Heart’s third studio album, Little Queen (1977), and was released as the album’s lead single. The song peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Clarkson has covered several classic songs since “The Kelly Clarkson Show” premiered. Most recently she covered “Runaway Train” by Soul Asylum, Phil Collins‘ “I Wish It Would Rain Down” and “Best I Ever Had (Grey Sky Morning)” by Vertical Horizon.
