After the former dancer slammed the journalist for allegedly lying about him accusing his ex-wife of taking crystal meth, the journalist insists that Kevin did tell her ‘clearly’ about his concern over the singer’s alleged substance use.
AceShowbiz -A journalist stands by her story that Kevin Federline has accused Britney Spears of meth use despite his denial. After the former dancer slammed the claims as “very distressing” and untrue, the journalist insists that he did tell her “clearly” about his concern over his ex-wife’s alleged substance use.
“Daphne Barak has assured us that the quotes attributed to Kevin and the family are accurate and fairly reflect the interviews conducted,” a spokesperson for Mail on Sunday tells TMZ, “in which Kevin expressed his fears that Britney might be using crystal meth to Daphne and to her producer Erbil Gunasti and members of the film crew.”
“He did so clearly and repeatedly,” the rep says. They further claim, “Kevin also made it clear to Daphne that he hoped someone would expose the situation, as he saw it, because that would be the way to get help for Britney.”
In the article published by Mail on Sunday, Daphne claimed Kevin had told her, “I fear she’s on meth – I’ve been praying someone would make it public and that she wakes up. It’s terrifying. She is the mother of my boys. Every time the telephone rings, I fear that there will be devastating news. I don’t want the boys to wake up one morning and find their mother has taken an overdose.”
She also quoted Britney’s father Jamie Spears as saying he was worried Britney would die at a young age like Amy Winehouse and claimed the singer’s sons refused to meet with Britney because they claimed to have seen drugs being delivered to her house. And she said Sean Preston told her, “All we want is for her to listen to us.”
Britney responded to the allegations via Instagram, writing, “The fact that people are claiming things that are not true is so sad … This may not even be them saying such things because it doesn’t make any sense to me for them to be saying that …”
Kevin later denied that he ever accused the pop star of taking crystal meth. “It saddens our family that Daphne Barak and Erbil Gunasti have decided to fabricate lies and publish the heartache our family has endured, along with the trauma of our minor children in the Daily Mail and The Sun,” he told TMZ in a statement.
While confirming that his family did speak to Daphne and Erbil for interviews, the 45-year-old DJ claimed, “It is very distressing that she continues to harass our family when we have repeatedly asked her to leave us alone.” He went on alleging, “Her lies and attempts to exploit minors is click bait.”
