James Jordan, 42, updated his 273,5000 Twitter followers on concerns for his father Allan, who was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour earlier last year. The former Strictly Come Dancing professional admitted his beloved dad is “not doing so well” as he remains in hospital for treatment, and the star is currently unable to visit, due to the ongoing national lockdown in the UK amid the coronavirus pandemic.

James typed: “Missing my dad so much.

“He’s not doing so well in hospital, but hopefully we will get him home soon so we can all see him and be together.

“Love you dad.” He movingly added.

Underneath his fans shared their unwavering support for James and his family, as they sent their prayers and best wishes.

One said: “I know the feeling, my Nannan’s been in since the new year, can’t even ring her because she had a heart attack & a stroke so she’s not very responsive.” (sic).

Another replied: “My mum is in hospital right now so I know how you feel. She’s very poorly too. Fingers crossed your dad and my mum can come home to us soon. Big love James x.”

A third commented: “I hope that your Dad recovers fully soon. It’s been a bad time for so many families and my heart goes out to you and your family.”

While a fourth wrote: “Sending positive thoughts and love. It’s hard being isolated away. I’m sure he’s getting excellent care tho, x.” (sic).

It comes as on Monday, James had appeared via video link alongside dancer wife Ola Jordan on Loose Women with their daughter Ella.

James became visibly emotional when questioned about his dad by the panel, and explained the current situation surrounding his fathers’ health is “horrendous”.

Jane Moore asked: “James, you’ve had a tough time with your dad Allan haven’t you?”

The dancer replied: “Yeah, horrendous. Last year, my dad got diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour.

“He’s currently back in hospital really, really not very well.”

An image of Allan holding baby Ella then popped up as James got choked up.

He continued: “Yeah, it’s really upsetting…” before beginning to become emotional.

Ola stepped in for James and said: “It’s very difficult because obviously we can’t go and see him.”

As she began tearing up, Ola continued: “When people say how tough it is to be at home…”

James added: “We just all need to do what we’ve got to do.”

Following the interview, he explained on Twitter how the interview had been the “hardest” he has ever had to do.

He typed: “Well that was the hardest TV interview I’ve ever done. I said I wouldn’t cry no matter what and then I saw the picture of my dad come up on the screen.”
