James Jordan and Ola on whether they’ll have a second baby
We’ve all been through a lot since 2019, and former Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan, 42, admitted he has put on three stone since he won ITV’s Dancing On Ice. 2020 saw some major changes in the dancers life, from the birth of his baby girl Ella, to his dad’s devastating terminal cancer diagnosis, and of course the on-going coronavirus pandemic, but as we welcome the new year, dancer explained he’s on track to get fit again and asked his fans for some advice as he embarks on his health journey.
I’ve put on over 3 stone since Dancing On Ice
Taking to Twitter, he admitted he hadn’t been worried about gaining weight but decided “enough is enough”.
“Right I’m nearly 100kg about 15 1/2 stone and I’ve started trying to get fit again,” he said in the honest admission alongside a vomiting emoji.
“I’ve put on over 3 stone since @dancingonice.”
But he revealed losing weight might not be as easy for him due to his underlying health issues.

“I’m trying to run although suffering with my hip and shin splints,” he wrote.
“Anyway… can anyone recommend a really good reliable heart rate monitor?”
He soon found he wasn’t alone, as many fans applauded his honesty and agreed that they too wanted to get fit in 2021.
One fan replied: “Ditto James, can we all do this weight loss together.
“Very difficult times for all of us resulting in comfort eating, I now hate myself and my body so not coping very well these days. I am normally a very positive person but this lockdown is dragging me down.”
Noticing that some of his followers also felt the same way, James had a surge of optimism as he encouraged everyone who wanted to change their mindset to do it with him.
“Come on let’s do this,” he urged.
“I feel the same when I look at myself so enough is enough.
“No more excuses we have to be tough and push ourselves out of our comfort zone.”

He added: “The longer I leave it the harder it will be. You can do it.”
Others rushed to offer some advice to help him on his way: “If you’re having issues with shin splints make sure you’ve got a good pair of running shoes and try not to up the mileage too quickly. Good luck!” one fan noted as James thanked them for their input.
Elsewhere, the dancer was forced to confirm that he isn’t taking part in the latest series of The Masked Singer, as many wondered whether he was the voice behind The Badger costume.
But admitting his singing pipes aren’t up to scratch, it seems they may have it all wrong…
“@The_JamesJordan we think it’s you behind the mask! #thebadger,” one pointed out.
James quickly replied: “I can’t sing for toffee,” he laughed, putting those rumours to bed.
Another asked him outright: “@The_JamesJordan are you the badger?” to which he responded with a simple “nope”.
But their guesses might not be completely off topic, as fellow Strictly pro Kevin Clifton is the next best guess behind the whacky disguise.
The Masked Singer airs Saturdays at 7pm on ITV.
