Jacqueline Jossa didn’t have a care in the world when she took a boat trip with hubby Dan Osborne during a family holiday in Spain.
Wearing a neon orange bikini, the 30-year-old mum-of-two was spotted enjoying some precious alone time with ex- TOWIE regular Dan, 31.
With minimal make-up and her hair scraped back into a loose bun, actress Jacqueline oozed confidence as the pair laughed and joked on board a yacht off the Spanish coast.
A source close to the couple told OK! this week, “Jac and Dan had a wicked time in Spain. And a lot of that was down to Jac’s confidence.”
Showing off her toned and tanned body as she and Dan took lots of holiday snaps, Jacqueline also took to the water on a paddleboard close to their yacht.
But being happy and confident in her skin hasn’t been an easy journey for Jacqueline, who joined the cast of EastEnders when she was just 17.
Over the years she’s been a victim of cruel body-shaming trolls targeting her with vile messages calling her “fat”.
Our source says, “She knows she’s never going to be a ‘skinny minnie’ because she’s got curves in the right places, and she’s happy that Dan wouldn’t have her any other way.
“She still works out and looks after her body, but she’s done putting herself down. Dan always gives her loads of compliments.”
Speaking about her size 10-12 body, Jac says she doesn’t “want to feel pressured into losing weight to please other people”.
“Everywhere I look, people are talking about weight or how to lose it. I feel sorry for the young girls looking up to the wrong people,” she says.
Loved-up Jacqueline and Dan met 10 years ago at an awards ceremony and went on to have their first daughter, Ella, two years later in 2015.
After a romantic proposal in Greece, they enjoyed a star-studded wedding at a luxury manor house in Cheshire in 2017. But the newlywed bliss wasn’t to last for long.
The pair briefly separated when cheating rumours swirled about an affair between Dan and Love Island ’s Gabby Allen – which they both denied.
Proving she wasn’t prepared to give up on the relationship, Jacqueline later reunited with Dan and welcomed a second daughter Mia, now four, in 2018.
Our source says Jacqueline now feels a particular responsibility to her young daughters to set a good example of body confidence.
“She doesn’t want to let her insecurities get her down,” the source explains. “She’s got bigger fish to fry being a mum.”
Proving the point, last year Jacqueline posted a body positive video of herself dancing poolside in a bikini with her daughters to Victoria’s Secret by Jax. She told her fans, “My girls are always watching me! Have to be so careful how I speak about myself.”
As well as working hard to build up her own self-esteem, Jacqueline has also had to put the work into her marriage to Dan.
When she went into the I’m A Celebrity jungle in 2019 she was blissfully unaware of fresh rumours about her husband’s alleged fling. But despite the personal dramas going on back home, Jacqueline’s down-to-earth and warm personality shone through and she was crowned Queen of the ITV show’s 19th series.
Following her win, it’s been a case of onwards and upwards for the besotted couple, with Jacqueline clearly feeling more confident than ever.
Showing she won’t let the trolls win, she recently shared a gorgeous set of family photos promoting her new Family Swim collection with In The Style.
Posing in matching swimsuits, shorts and dresses, Jacqueline launched the size-inclusive collection alongside Dan, Ella and Mia.
She put her “heart and soul” into the collection, Jacqueline says, and it was important to her to offer inclusive sizing for all body types.
“She’s trying to make a conscious effort to put on a positive image for her kids,” our source told us. “Doing those matching swimsuits just made her really happy.”
