Prince Harry and Prince William will reunite for the first time in over a year when they honor their grandfather, Prince Philip, at his funeral on April 17, 2021. The brothers will not walk side-by-side when they follow the coffin in order to minimize any “awkward moments,” according to Yahoo! News. Their cousin, Peter Phillips, will walk between the brothers.

Palace officials remained vague when asked about the positioning of William and Harry, per the outlet. “We’re not going to be drawn into those perceptions of drama or anything like that,” a palace spokesman said. “This is a funeral and the arrangements have been agreed and they represent Her Majesty’s wishes.”

Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince William, Prince Harry, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward will lead the funeral procession, according to Sky News. Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall; Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge; Princess Eugenie; and Princess Beatrice will also be in attendance, per the outlet. Prince Philip’s great-grandchildren, including Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will not attend because they are reportedly too young for the ceremony.
