Despite heading into the villa with the intention of finding love during the summer, Love Island ’s Molly Marsh reportedly told former Gogglebox star George Baggs that she had a boyfriend just a few months prior to entering the show.
George and his brother Joe Baggs spoke about Molly on their podcast Not My Bagg and George recalled a moment he met the musical theatre performer not too long ago.
George said: "We actually know Molly. I did think she had a boyfriend, I can't lie. I spoke to her like two, three months ago at an event and she had a boyfriend. So that's news to me."
Joe said that the mystery boyfriend must be “gutted” with Molly currently taking her relationship with Zachariah Noble up a notch and George added: "He's pissed, and he works on cruise ships and stuff doesn't he, so he's in the middle of The Atlantic Ocean."
Joe jokingly responded: "He probably doesn't even know. By the time he docks up he's going to be watching Love Island."
George said all this with some conviction, but then did question he might have got it wrong, especially as all Love Island contestants are required to confirm they're single to ITV ahead of going on the show.
The villa is currently reeling from news of the latest dumping on Friday night, with Zach relieved he was saved from being dumped and able to continue to get to know Molly.
In an emotional scene, he tells her: “Got to make sure the time we have is used properly", with Molly admitting: “I’m so glad you’re here.”
Zach then says: “This is my biggest eye opener to it. I was honestly just thinking about you.”
While Molly agrees and adds: “There’s literally no time to waste.”
Zach then says: “There’s something so different about you, Molly.”
It comes after both Zach and Sammy recently opened up to Molly about their feelings, leaving Molly in the middle of yet another love triangle.
Elsewhere, Liberty Poole left Love Island fans stunned after confessing current Islander Tyrique Hyde slid into her DMs.
Sitting down with presenter Maya Jama during the latest episode of Aftersun, the ex-islander was stunned ITV researchers had discovered her connection to the star. Confirming the link, she said: "A while ago, there was talk about going for drinks with Tyrique".
But it wasn't meant to be as Liberty, 23, was very busy so ended up leaving the messages "on read". Laughing, Liberty continued: "Then I got unfollowed so it's a bit of a savage situation."
She then added that she thought he and beau Ella "are fire". Amused viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts. One said: "Not Tyrique moving to Liberty before the show". Another commented: "Anything can happen o. It’s love island."
