Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly give £5k for Britain’s Got Talent pal’s rehab

Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly have given £5K to pay for their Britain's Got Talent pal's rehab.

Their donation comes after Simon Cowell and Robbie Williams pledged cash to The X Factor warm-up act Ian Royce's rehab stint.

Ian, 50, is firm friends with the stars as he is a regular on Britain's Got Talent and The X Factor; it is his job to amuse TV audiences before the shows go out live.

Now the entertainer is appealing for help to attend a £20,000 rehab centre The Priory after he suffered a brain aneurysm when drunk and even tried to kill himself.

Ant pledged £2,500 on the GoFundMe page after he completed two rehab stints himself to battle his demons.

The embattled presenter was previously caught drink-driving and admitted he was addicted to taking prescription painkillers.

His sidekick Dec matched the amount when he gave a donation to his BGT pal.

Simon and Robbie appeared to have made their donations anonymously on the account.

Ian's friend set up the GoFundMe page to raise funds for the rehabilitation programme.

The GoFundMe page, set up by a pal, read: “Ian is in desperate need of our help. He is an alcoholic and has taken his first steps by admitting so.”
